Cats’ Corner

Cats’ Corner promotes the swing culture and swing scene in Malmö

Our primary focus is on Lindy Hop, but we also focus on other neighbouring swing dances such as Balboa, Shag, Tap and Jazz.

Almost all covid-restrictions are lifted on the 29th of September for all that are vaccinated.

Therefore we will no longer have pre-registration for the social dance on Wednesdays, and we will return to a more normal social dance.

More information is found here:

Courses are still put on hold until further notice.

Courses & event

Almost all covid-restrictions are lifted on the 29th of September for all that are vaccinated*.

Therefore we will no longer have pre-registration for the social dance on Wednesdays, and we will return to a more normal social dance.

To be able to do so, make sure you’re vaccinated!
If you for some reason can’t vaccinate, make sure to test yourself before dancing**.

Also, remember to accept a “no thank you” if you invite someone to dance. As we always do, but please take extra care. Everyone won’t be comfortable rotating partners as before.

In general, use your common sense, and we will be okay.

With that said, we start to re-open for social dance for real.
See you on a danefloor!
Kind regards
The board of Cats’ Corner.

After a long hiatus of courses and events, we aim to start-up something this autumn. Starting of with a social dance/training on Wednesday evenings, with a mandatory pre-registration, link under “Themed courses & event” further down this page.

Wednedsay Night Hop

We usually organize a social dance at Moriskan Pavilion in Folkets Park on Wednesday from 19:45-23:00. Many evenings include some kind of fun taster class. Take a look at our Facebook page for updates. It may be that we change venue, we will notify you via Facebook if that is the case. A little further down on this page you will find our Facebook events.

Note that we currently change venue quite often due to difficulties to use the grand hall at Moriskan currently. Make sure to check our Facebook, where we update the current venue.
We hope to move back into Moriskan soon.

Malmö Spring Jump

Every year we organize our big annual workshop, Malmö Spring Jump. For more information about Malmö Spring Jump jump to

Themed courses & events

Currently we do not arrange any courses or big events. We aim to restart this when the Covid-situation allows it. For now we will dance on Wednesdays.

The members are Cats’ Corner

Cats’ Corner is a non-profit association led by a board elected at the annual meeting. The board together with the members spread the joy of dance in the region. It may be the board that manages the daily operations of the organisation, but we would be nothing without our wonderful members. You’re always welcome to contact us if you have any thoughts, ideas or just want to talk. Find us on the dance floor on Wednesdays, send us an E-mail at or contact us on our Facebook page.

LinaMaria & Mattias

LinaMaria & Mattias

LinaMaria Bengtsson is a performing artist and jazz singer who started dancing lindyhop actively 2014 because of the love of Swing Music. She also likes Tap Dance, Acrobatics, Blues Dancing, Collegiate Shag, and Yoga. Mattias Bruzelius fell in love with the lindyhop 2010 and spends most of his spare time dancing and practising acrobatics.  He likes the joy, playfulness, musicality of the lindyhop, and the communication between lead and follow. When Mattias och LinaMaria teaches, they are focusing on lead/following-techniques and having fun with the dance. Their priority is dynamics (softness, movement, energy) over routines, rules and patterns, and they believe that the lead and follow are equally responsible in the dance. LinaMaria och Mattias have been teaching together since 2018, giving weekly classes in Malmö and Lund for HepTown, and in Helsingborg through Cats Corner. They teach summer courses at Fridhems Folkhögskola, and are performing with different show groups. They also do weekend workshops in Lindyhop and Lindyhop Aerials and you are welcome to ask them for private lessons, workshops and performances. Kontakt LinaMaria 0733-305890 Mattias 0702-263534
