Welcome to Cats’ Corner and information about Lindy hop in Malmö! We are a non profit organization, with main focus is Lindy Hop, but we also like Charleston, Balboa, Blues, Vernacular Jazz, and other dance styles under the swing umbrella.
If you are visiting Malmö and want to dance some Lindy hop, we have our social dances Thursdays, at Tangopalatset, Amiralsgatan 47, Malmö. Usually the dance starts at 19.30 and ends at 23.00. Our ordinary social dances cost 60 SEK for non-members (50 SEK for members), please bring cash. There’s a bar available with beer, snacks, food and other lovely things.
We have a summer break for about 2-3 months (june, july, august), and do some laid back dancing at the beach on sundays. That usually lasts during July. The dancing at the beach (Named Dans på stranden) is free.
We also have a minor break during christmas and new years. Please check our calendar on the front page for more detailed information.
A membership costs 50 SEK for a year, and that gives you voting rights at our annual meetings, and you also free access to two annual parties, with entrance, food, drinks and lots of dancing (and that’s right, it’s all free).
As a non-profit organization, all our money goes directly back to our members, in the form of exciting classes, workshops or great live band nights.
